As bioelectric signals reflecting processes proceeding in a
muscle, interference electromyograms may be characterized by such
parameters borrowed from nonlinear dynamics as correlation
dimension d and Kolmogorov entropy E.
With a nonlinear approach the structural changes in electromyograms caused
by voluntary muscle tension or some pathologies of a neuromuscular system
are revealed qualitatively (phase portraits) and quantitatively (correlation
dimension, Kolmogorov entropy). The proposed approach is supported by the
obtained experimental results.
