Formation and Effective Nonlinear-Frequency Transformation of Nondiffracting and Nondispersing Polarized Pulsed Beams Using One-Dimensional Photonic Crystals.
S. N. Kurillkina, V. N. Belyi, and N. S. Kazak

The process of generation of radially and azimuthally polarized pulsed beams on double frequency in one-dimensional photonic crystals has been investigated. The possibility of their nondiffracting and nondispersing propagation has been established. The conditions of increasing the efficiency of nonlinear transformation of pulsed beams have been found which are connected both with nonsynchronous strengthening and realization of interactions forbidden in homogeneous media.
Key words: one-dimensional photonic crystal, photonic band gap, pulsed Bessel beam
