JINR plans to construct ions collider and start experimental study
of hot and dense QCD matter. It is produced in heavy ions
collision at high energy. Investigation of hot and dense nuclear
matter is a challenging task in modern physics. It allows a search
for possible manifestations of the transformation of nucleons into
deconfined state of quarks and gluons, provides information on the
nuclear matter equation of state, in-medium properties of hadrons,
search for chiral symmetry restoration, phase transition, mixed
phase and critical end point. It may sheds light on the evolution
of the Early Universe and formation of neutron stars. The study of
polarization phenomena in few-body nucleon systems with use of the
polarized beams is also one of the physics challenges of the
collider.
