Influence of a Transverse Electric Field on Ballistic Quantum Transport in Narrow Waveguides.

The modelling of the electron coherent ballistic transport in narrow quantum waveguides exposed to an external field has been considered. Narrow waveguides of Gaussian and angular shapes were used in simulation. The possibility of efficient control of the system transmission via an external electric field is discussed.
