Searches of the materials adequate to designs of "clever" biosensors for
biomedical applications, have led to working out of a new class of
biosensors and express analyzers on the basis of new carbon materials, in
particular on the basis of carbon nanotubes (CNT). In given paper the
capabilities of carbon nanotube utilization at creation of biological
sensors on the basis of literary analysis and own experimental results are
presented. Types of carbon nanotube-based biological sensors
(CNT-biosensors) and corresponding classification are considered. The basic
difficulties of practical realization of different
constructive-technological variants of CNT-biosensors and possibilities of
their overcoming are analyzed.
