Electron diffraction structural investigations of modified multi-walled carbon nanotube clusters fabricated by Langmuir - Blodgett (LB) technology have been performed.Boundary effects have been established at formation of high density LB-cluster from a mixture of stearic acid with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (CNT) modified by carboxyl groups. It was shown that high-density array of vertically oriented ends of multi-walled carbon nanotubes are formed during epitaxial growth on a surface of crystalline thin conducting organometallic polymeric LB-film, with lattice parameters close to those of the lattice parameters of CNT-edges.
