Unification of Modified Semiclassical Method and Improved Variational Approach.

Trial radial wave functions are constructed with the help of explicit summation of the leading constituent WKB series and varied power-law substitution. The optimal value of the variational parameter is found by means of minimization of integral discrepancy. The proposed approach is applied to the power-law potentials.
