The study of electroweak boson pair production is a powerful test of the spontaneously broken gauge symmetry of the Standard Model (SM) and can be used to search for phenomena beyond the SM. New heavy neutral bosons Z' decaying to charged gauge boson pairs + are predicted by many scenarios of new physics, including models with extended gauge sector. The diboson production allows to place stringent constraints on the Z' boson parameters such as Z − Z' mixing angle and Z' mass, Z'. We find that the present bounds on the Z − Z' mixing angle obtained with data comprised of 13.2 fb-1 of pp collisions at √s = 13 TeV and recorded by ATLAS detector at the CERN LHC are quite competitive with those derived from the global analysis of the electroweak data.

Key words: new gauge Z'  bosons, Z − Z'  mixing, diboson resonances, ATLAS detector, LHC
