In this article the nonlinear dynamics characteristics
and stability of the forced Van der Pol
equation are investigated by nonlinear theory.
The stiffness and chaotic behaviors of the forced Van der Pol
equation are proved by theories and simulations.
The chaotic behaviors of the forced Van der Pol
equation is controlled by five different chaotic control methods.
The simulation results show that the chaotic behaviors of the
forced Van der Pol equation can be successfully controlled.
